Azerbaijan approves new state program to combat drug trafficking

The "State Program on Combating the Illegal Circulation of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2025–2030" has been officially approved following a decree signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan will coordinate the implementation of measures outlined in the State Program and oversee their execution, along with addressing other matters arising from the decree.
The State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the program's measures. The commission is also required to submit an annual report to the president on the progress of the program's implementation.
