US plans 23% cut to NASA budget in 2027

The US administration plans to reduce funding for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by $5.6 billion, or 23%, in 2027, according to the federal budget proposal released by the White House, Report informs, referring to international media.
The proposed cuts include $1.1 billion from the International Space Station (ISS) program.
The White House said the budget prioritizes the rapid development and deployment of commercial space stations while maintaining plans for the safe deorbiting of the ISS in 2030.
