US Congress approves $13.6 billion in aid to Ukraine

US congressmen have reached an agreement to allocate $1.5 trillion to the federal government in the fiscal year 2022, including $13.6 billion in aid to Ukraine.
Report informs, citing a joint statement by Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
The agreement also includes the allocation of funds to protect US infrastructure from cyberattacks "from Russia and other intruders".
In addition, $15.6 billion will be allocated to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
