UN suspends humanitarian flights to Ethiopia's Tigray

The United Nations is suspending its humanitarian flights to Mekelle in the Ethiopian state of Tigray, said Stéphane Dujarric, the Spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, Report informs via TASS.
All UN Humanitarian Air Service flights to Mekelle have been suspended until further notice, he said.
The UN suspended flights to Mekelle after an airstrike during the arrival of a humanitarian aid plane on Friday, he added.
The UN humanitarian flight on Friday was forced not to land in the administrative center of the Ethiopian region of Tigray due to the airstrikes of the Ethiopian military. More than ten civilians were injured on the ground.
