Ukrainian MoD: Russia preparing for active defense operations

"he Russian army is preparing for active defensive operations to repel the counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said Vadym Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Report informs via UNIAN.

According to him, the Russian side is preparing for a defensive operation, especially in the southern part of Ukraine, in the Kherson oblast: "Now they are trying to establish reserves to restore their positions."

Skibitsky also said that the Russian leadership has been thinking about general mobilization since the beginning of the war: "The announcement of general mobilization will be a serious blow to the Putin regime because it will be an admission that Russia is unable to fulfill its tasks and that Putin's "special operation" has not been successful. The declaration of mobilization will only benefit us."
