Ukraine's SBU claims strikes on Russian refinery, other facilities

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), together with the country's Defense Forces, has claimed to have struck the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery in Russia, the SBU said on its Telegram channel, Report informs.

The agency said the operation also targeted the Yevpatoria Aviation Plant in occupied Crimea and infrastructure at the Port of Taman in Russia's Krasnodar Territory.

According to the SBU, two hangars used to store aviation equipment and a production workshop at the Yevpatoria Aviation Plant were hit.

The agency also said infrastructure at the Port of Taman was struck, causing a large-scale fire.

In addition, the SBU claimed to have hit the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery, describing it as one of Russia's largest refineries with an annual processing capacity of about 15 million tons of crude oil. The facility produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel.
