Tokayev and Putin discuss plane crash in phone call

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation to discuss the recent AZAL plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan, Report informs via Akorda.
The heads of state expressed their condolences to each other regarding the tragic deaths of Kazakh and Russian citizens in the crash and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
They reviewed the ongoing efforts to determine the cause of the crash. Tokayev mentioned that a Government Commission in Kazakhstan is investigating the incident, with the participation of experts from Azerbaijan, Russia, and Brazil.
Both presidents stressed the need for a comprehensive and transparent investigation.
