Five dead in bus collision in southern Peru

At least five people were killed and 16 injured in a collision between two buses in southern Peru, Report informs, citing the Associated Press.
The accident occurred near the Chile border, on the southern section of Pan-American Highway in the city of Tacna.
Preliminary reports suggest that one of the buses entered the opposite lane while attempting to overtake a truck and collided with another passenger vehicle.
Most of the injured are in stable condition, though one person sustained serious fractures.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
