Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard has described the situation in the Middle East as highly tense amid a fragile ceasefire in the region, according to Report.
According to Report, the Swedish foreign minister made the remarks in a post on X.
"The situation in the Middle East remains highly tense. At the same time as welcome steps have been taken tonight for peace between Israel and Lebanon, through the framework agreement signed between them, we see how fragile the ceasefire is between Iran and the USA," she said in a post on X.
Stenergard added that Sweden urges all parties to exercise restraint and continue working to implement the measures required for free and safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
