The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said in a post on X that the US will be "revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported," Report informs.
Rubio's comments came after AP reported that US immigration agents detained a Palestinian graduate student who helped lead last year's pro-Palestine student encampment at Columbia University.
The Student Workers of Columbia union said in a statement that Mahmoud Khalil was arrested at his university accommodation on Saturday. His wife, who is 8 months pregnant, is a US citizen, while Khalil holds a permanent residency green card.
