Putin, Erdogan meet on sidelines of SCO summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan "on the sidelines" of the SCO summit, Report informs referring to Russian media.

It is expected that Putin and Erdogan will discuss various issues of an international nature and bilateral cooperation.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov also allowed for the possibility of discussing the issue of Ukraine.

"Ukraine will certainly be discussed," he said, noting Ankara's role in finding a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict.

In addition, the aide expressed confidence that the situation in the Middle East, the Caucasus and other regions will be discussed.

He recalled that this will be the first personal meeting between Putin and Erdogan this year.
