The Polish government has filed a complaint with the Court of Justice of the European Union against the trade agreement with the South American trade bloc MERCOSUR.
According to Report, citing Polskie Radio, Warsaw also submitted a request to suspend the agreement until the court issues a ruling on the case.
Poland is reportedly dissatisfied primarily with the absence of "mirror requirements" in the agreement for agricultural producers from MERCOSUR countries regarding production standards and technologies.
On January 7, a free trade agreement between the European Union and MERCOSUR member states was signed in Paraguay. The agreement entered into force on May 1.
