Peskov comments on expulsion of US diplomat from Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov has commented on the expulsion of US diplomat Bart Gorman, Report informs.

He told reporters that this was just a response measure.

"The removal of the US deputy ambassador to Moscow from Russia is an adequate step to the provocation of the opposite side. This measure should not be taken as a provocation," Peskov said.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced the expulsion of the US diplomat yesterday.
