Pakistani president welcomes US-Iran deal

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has welcomed the upcoming signing of a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, expressing hope that the document will be a step towards achieving a final agreement and strengthening peace in the region, Report informs.

"I welcome the announcement of a Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, which will hopefully pave the way for a final agreement and lay the foundation for durable and comprehensive peace in the region. Pakistan is proud to have consistently supported dialogue and diplomacy during this difficult period. This development is also an important step towards strengthening multilateralism and the peaceful resolution of disputes through engagement and mutual respect. May these efforts usher in greater peace, stability and prosperity for the region and the world," the presidential press service wrote on X.
