Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will depart for Qatar today to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, Report informs via The Nation.

The summit, co-sponsored by Pakistan, has been convened in response to Israel's airstrikes on Qatar, its settlement expansion in the West Bank, and the forced displacement of Palestinian families.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan places high importance on its ties with Qatar and continues to strongly denounce Israeli aggression in the region.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Shehbaz visited Doha and met with the Qatari leadership, reaffirming Pakistan's steadfast support for Qatar's sovereignty, regional stability, and the pursuit of peace in the Middle East.
