The Italian Financial Guard (Guardia di Finanza) has arrested 40 members of a Nigerian criminal group that controls illegal migration and prostitution in the country.
About 600 law enforcers took part in the operation in the city of Cagliari on the island of Sardinia alone, Report informs, citing foreign media. As a whole, arrests were made and searches were conducted in several regions.
An investigation names members of the network involved in crimes against individual liberty internationally.
