The Sultanate of Oman is working to ensure that navigation through the Strait of Hormuz remains safe and free for everyone.
Report informs, citing ISNA, that Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi said this.
"We are committed to the Convention on the Law of the Sea and agree with Iran that any arrangements should not go beyond its framework," he said.
He also commented on the fees demanded by Iran, saying there was a difference between transit fees and fees for maritime and environmental services discussed voluntarily with countries and companies.
