North Korea keen to boost nuclear capabilities

The government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has decided to enhance its nuclear forces both qualitatively and quantitatively.
According to Report, citing the Korean Central News Agency, the decision was made during an expanded session of the 9th Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, chaired by leader Kim Jong Un.
At the meeting, measures were approved to modernize the technical infrastructure of combat systems and further develop the country's nuclear potential.
In addition, Kim Jong Un signed seven orders addressing key military issues reviewed by the commission.
Previously, the DPRK leader stressed that the navy should become a fully-fledged armed force equipped with strategic assets, declaring his intention to arm the country's naval forces with nuclear weapons.
