NATO exercises begin in Latvia

The international military exercises Winter Shield 2021 began in Latvia today, Report informs with reference to the Latvian Defense Ministry.
The exercises at the Adazi training ground will continue until December 4.
They will be attended by members of the Mechanized Infantry Brigade of the Latvian Ground Forces, the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence (EFP) battle groups in Latvia, as well as the European Command of the US Armed Forces.
During the exercise, live fires will be conducted from howitzers, mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms.
