Lukashenko: Wars in Ukraine and Middle East could end in 2026

President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has expressed confidence that the Russia–Ukraine conflict, as well as tensions in the Middle East, could be resolved within the current year, Report informs via BelTA

The Belarusian leader said in an interview with the Saudi TV channel Al Arabiya, that he believes the resolution of these conflicts "depends on the will of just a few people."

"If there is such a desire, these wars can definitely be ended this year. Even the Russia–Ukraine conflict can be ended this year," he said.

Commenting on the Middle East situation, Lukashenko said he sees no alternative to ending hostilities.

"And it will end this year. I hope even in the near future. Primarily between the United States and Iran, as it is commonly said. Although I do not consider this a war between Americans and Iranians. It is primarily a war between Israel and Iran," he stated.
