Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan begin withdrawing troops from conflict zone on border

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have begun withdrawing servicemen and military equipment from the zone of armed conflict on the border, Report informs with reference to the Border Service of the Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security.
“The parties began to withdraw additional forces and equipment from the state border to the points of permanent deployment,” the government agency said in a message.
According to the message, the situation on the border stable, and no incidents or shootings were observed over the past night.
“Border units are on duty in full force,” the agency stressed.
