Germany records dangerous type of coronavirus

A new mutation of coronavirus, discovered in the UK in mid-December, has reached Germany, Report mentions, referring to Deutsche Welle.

The authorities of Baden-Württemberg said the mutated virus was found in a woman who came to Frankfurt from London. The patient still has mild symptoms of the disease. The officials sent all three people who met her at the airport to quarantine.

Earlier, Switzerland and Nigeria recorded the strain of COVID-19, which was first detected in Britain. However, French officials did not rule out the possibility of a new coronavirus strain in the country. The new type is more contagious and therefore considered dangerous.
