Finnish Interior Minister Mari Rantanen has backed Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's proposal on Schengen border control, Report informs, citing Rantanen's post on X.
Rantanen said Spain had "completely failed" to protect the Schengen Area's external border from infiltration, adding that the situation "cannot continue."
She said all European countries should support Meloni's proposal.
"Countries that do not fulfill their obligation to protect the external border cannot be members of Schengen," Rantanen wrote.
