The EU office will open in Kabul in the coming weeks, but this won’t mean that Brussels will recognize the radical Taliban that has come to power in Afghanistan, EU Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Nabila Massrali said at a press conference in the European Commission, Report informs referring to TASS.
Work is underway to ensure a minimum EU presence in Kabul. It’s a matter of weeks, not months, and this is not a sign of recognition, she said.
