Domestic violence cases up 60% in Japan

The number of domestic violence facts in Japan in 2020 increased by 60% compared to the fiscal year 2019 and exceeded 190,000 cases.
Report informs, citing TRT Haber, that the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan released it in a document on the period from March 2020 to March 2021.
There were 70,754 cases of domestic violence in the last fiscal year. In the reporting year, this figure rose by 19,030.
One of the main reasons for this increase is that family members spend more time at home due to the coronavirus.
