Delta variant of coronavirus disappears in Japan

The incidence of COVID-19 has decreased in Japan after the delta strain of the virus destroyed itself, Professor of the National Institute of Genetics Ituro Inoue said in an interview with the Japan Times, Report informs.
The professor claimed that the delta strain of the coronavirus had disappeared due to constant mutations.
Besides, the number of infections has decreased in Japan thanks to high vaccination rates and adherence to infection control measures.
Although the number of daily infections in the country topped 26,000 within the past three months, nowadays, the daily incidence does not exceed 200.
