Death toll in Israel stampede reaches 45

The number of people killed in a stampede in Mount Meron in northern Israel during the religious festivities has reached 45, Report informs citing TASS.

"The bodies of 45 victims of this tragedy have been handed to the Institute for Forensic Medicine," Israel's Health Ministry said in a statement.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier left for the scene.
