Death toll from volcanic eruption in Indonesia rises to 43

The death toll from the eruption of the Semeru volcano on the Indonesian island of Java has increased to 43 people, Report informs referring to TASS.
“According to the latest information, the death toll from the eruption of Semeru has increased by four people. The total death toll is 43,” the Indonesian National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure said.
As many as 104 residents were affected by the volcanic eruption. At the same time, the authorities increased the number of temporary accommodation centers for forced refugees to 121.
The emergency services are currently continuing the search and rescue operation.
