China to begin vaccinating children from 3 years of age with Sinopharm

Chinese authorities will begin vaccination against COVID for children aged three years and older with a jab from the national pharmaceutical company Sinopharm, created in a laboratory in Wuhan, reads a statement published on Aug. 18 on the website of the vaccine manufacturer, Report informs referring to TASS.
Vaccinations for minors under the age of 17 will be given in an emergency. The corresponding decision was made by the Chinese epidemiological control authorities.
According to the Sinopharm management, the effectiveness of vaccinating kids with this jab is 96.1 percent.
It is entirely safe, only a mild adverse reaction is possible, no complications have been recorded, the statement says.
