Amos Hochstein, a senior advisor to US President Joe Biden, is set to embark on a crucial diplomatic mission to Israel today.
Report informs citing The Times of Israel that Hochstein's primary objective is to implement measures aimed at preventing further escalation between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
According to a White House official, Hochstein's visit comes amidst rising tensions in the region. The situation intensified on the morning of June 17 when an unidentified aerial object breached Israel's border, triggering the country's air defense systems. The suspicious object was subsequently intercepted over the sea in the northern part of the country.
