At least 36 killed, 50 injured in Pakistan train crash

According to Pakistan Railways officials, at least 36 people lost their lives and 50 sustained injuries as the Sir Syed Express train collided with a Millat Express between Reti and Daharki railway stations in Ghotki.
Report informs, citing foreign media, that the train was hit by Sir Syed Express that was en route to Karachi from Rawalpindi.
As many as 14 boogies of both the trains were damaged, out of which eight were destroyed entirely.
Getting the information about the incident, the police and rescue teams reached the spot for the rescue and relief operation. Following the major train accident, up and down railway traffic has been suspended.
