Speaker: Great potential exists for advancing Azerbaijan–Serbia relations

There is significant potential for the development of Azerbaijan–Serbia relations, Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, stated during a joint briefing with Ana Brnabić, President of the National Assembly of Serbia, who is visiting Baku, Report informs.

Gafarova emphasized that the friendly ties between Azerbaijan and Serbia hold strategic importance in promoting South Caucasus–Balkans regional cooperation: "There is great potential for expanding relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia across various sectors. This visit reflects the high level of engagement between our countries and parliaments, as well as our shared desire to further strengthen these ties. Elevating our relations to the level of strategic partnership is a source of great satisfaction."

The speaker added that political relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia serve as a model: "Our cooperation is close because we share a common vision for the future. The purpose of my visit is to enhance economic, political, and inter-parliamentary relations. Our bilateral ties are exemplary."
