New taxes for issuing and extending work permits to foreigners determined

New taxes for issuing and extending work permits to foreigners involved in labor activities in Azerbaijan are determined.

According to Report, an amendment to the law "On State Tax" is proposed in this regard.

With the amendment, the following fees will be charged for issuing and extending work permits to foreigners and stateless persons to engage in paid labor activities in Azerbaijan:

1. during ten working days:
One year to 6 months - 1600 manats ($941);
Up to 2 years - 1800 manats ($1,058);

2. during 15 working days:
One year to 6 months - 1400 manats ($823);
Up to 2 years - 1600 manats;

3. 20 working days:
One year to 6 months - 1200 manats ($705);
Up to 2 years - 1400 manats.
