Azerbaijani delegation participates in Indo Defense 2024 exhibition in Jakarta

Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev is participating in the Indo Defense 2024 exhibition, which started in the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta, after being postponed last year, Report informs, citing the ministry.

It was noted that Indo Defense 2024, which is organized every two years and is one of the largest defense industry events in the Asia-Pacific region, is also being held in parallel with the Indo Aerospace, Indo Marine and Indo Security exhibitions.

Minister of Defense Industry Mustafayev attended the opening ceremony of the event, then visited the stands of various companies.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the minister met with Haluk Gorgun, President of the Secretariat of Defense Industries under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Suay Alpay, Deputy Minister of National Defense, as well as the heads of the Turkish HAVELSAN, Turkish Aerospace, Roketsan, Chinese CPMIEC, NORINCO and the United Arab Emirates EDGE Group companies. The meetings discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation with Azerbaijani defense industry institutions and developing relations in the military-technical field, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

The international event, organized at the Jakarta International Expo, showcases a wide range of technological innovations in the fields of land forces, naval and air forces, cyber defense, unmanned systems and security technologies.

The exhibition will end on June 14.
