Azerbaijan Army takes measures due to abnormal heat

In response to the recent extreme heat conditions, a series of preventive measures have been implemented across army corps, formations, military units, and special educational institutions to mitigate the risk of heatstroke and sunstroke among personnel of the Azerbaijan Army, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

The protection of military personnel from heatstroke and sunstroke, along with preventive measures, the provision of medical assistance, and the delivery of sanitary education, have been systematically organized, and oversight mechanisms have been reinforced.

Combat training and daily activities are primarily conducted in shaded areas, avoiding locations exposed to direct sunlight. Military personnel are accommodated in barracks and are not assigned to duties carried out under open-sky conditions.

Air conditioners have been installed in military dormitories, canteens, medical points, and other service and administrative rooms. Two-way air flow is monitored in all rooms.

Additionally, cool water shower facilities and supplementary water supply points have been established within military units. Personnel have been provided with drinking water and individual water containers to ensure proper hydration.
