Azerbaijan and Türkiye discuss military cooperation

On July 2, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with a delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Agency of Defense Industries under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Mustafa Murat Şeker.

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense told Report that during the meeting, the Minister of Defencs expressed confidence that the joint defense industry projects being implemented between the two countries would further strengthen the defense capabilities of the Armies.

Expressing his gratitude to Colonel General Z.Hasanov for the warm hospitality extended to the delegation, Mr. Şeker emphasized that such meetings play a significant role in expanding the existing military cooperation between the two fraternal countries.

Subsequently, the delegation also met with the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev.

During the meeting, it was noted that enduring friendship and brotherly ties between the Azerbaijani and Turkish nations make a substantial contribution to the steady advancement of bilateral military cooperation.

At both meetings, the sides held comprehensive discussions on the prospects for further developing military cooperation between the two countries. They also exchanged views on the application of AI in satellite technologies, electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and other areas of common interest.
