The European Union supports the activities of ANAMA and the demining work carried out by Azerbaijan, head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko said at the international conference "Humanitarian demining and sustainable development goals" held in Baku.
He noted that the European Union has been one of Azerbaijan's largest partners in demining issues.
The ambassador stressed that the EU intends to continue working with Azerbaijan to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
The EU is working with UN agencies to support demining, including by allocating funds, Michalko said, adding that 2.5 million euros had been allocated to ANAMA.
