UN official: Nearly 40,000 participants exchange experience at WUF13

Within the framework of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan, nearly 40,000 participants are exchanging experiences on urbanization and sustainable urban development, Ulf Björnholm, representative of the UN‑Habitat program, told Report.

According to him, the forum is an important platform where participants from different countries come together to share ideas: "Here, ministers, heads of state, civil society representatives, and mayors participate. They meet, learn from each other, and share their experiences. This is truly remarkable. WUF is one of the main international platforms bringing together stakeholders working in the field of urbanization."

The UN‑Habitat official also praised Azerbaijan's efforts in organizing the forum, noting that he had a very positive impression of the country: "The environment created here by Azerbaijan is truly impressive. The setup of this arena is amazing both technically and culturally. Thanks to the event, I learned a lot about Azerbaijan."
