Samad Bashirli: SPECA cities will cooperate in field of green transport and digital solutions

Cities within the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) will cooperate in the areas of green transport and digital solutions, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli said at an event held within the framework of WUF13 in Baku.

According to him, joint projects on "smart" and sustainable urban development, green public transport, energy-efficient digital solutions, and urban greening will be implemented within the platform.

"Through the forum, data exchange between cities will also be established and a unified system of indicators will be formed. The expansion of cooperation between universities, analytical centers, and municipalities is envisaged. This cooperation will help cities in the region become more resilient to climate risks," Bashirli said.
