Urban development in the post-conflict period is not limited to construction and infrastructure, Azerbaijani MP Sabina Salmanova said at a session of WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
She noted that the urban development policy implemented in Azerbaijan concerns not only the construction of new buildings but also the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, national architectural elements, and the national identity of cities: "This approach is particularly evident in the reconstruction process in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur. When constructing new cities and villages in liberated territories, special attention is paid to preserving historical heritage, national architectural traditions, and ensuring ecological balance."
