Minister: Azerbaijan, US have strong potential for cooperation in critical minerals

There is very strong potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the field of critical minerals, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at a press conference dedicated to the first Azerbaijan-US Economic Dialogue, Report informs.

He noted that this potential is not limited only to critical minerals already being extracted in Azerbaijan, but also covers joint new exploration, a focus on the next stage - processing facilities - and the exchange of experience.

"I believe we have a lot to gain mutually from strengthening cooperation in this field," Jabbarov said.

According to the minister, regional connectivity is an important area of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the US.

"This also includes trade and transit. The Middle Corridor topic and route naturally come to the fore here. This issue covers not only the use of traditional transport infrastructure, but also broader areas, including energy," he said.
