Leyla Aliyeva: IDEA working toward a healthier and greener future

The IDEA Public Union has implemented numerous initiatives, including planting millions of trees, educational programs for children, workshops, raising awareness about water and air pollution, as well as producing documentary films and organizing exhibitions, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, said in a message to participants of the event "Breathing Life into the New Urban Agenda: Integrating Air Quality and Green Infrastructure for Sustainable Cities" held within the framework of World Urban Forum 13.

According to Report, Leyla Aliyeva said the organization is working to improve the urban environment by making cities more comfortable for both people and nature.

"IDEA transforms courtyards into greener and more accessible public spaces for people of all generations, encouraging them to spend more time outdoors and breathe clean air. Green barriers are being installed in residential areas to create more resilient neighborhoods. The organization also actively promotes sustainable transportation by encouraging the use of bicycles. In addition, coastal cleanup campaigns and plastic waste collection drives for recycling are being carried out," the message stated.

Leyla Aliyeva also noted that IDEA has collected more than 120 tons of waste.

"Through these and other efforts, IDEA aims to create a healthier and greener future, while also building a strong foundation of environmental responsibility among the younger generation," Leyla Aliyeva emphasized.
