Graber: World-class technologies selected to address Absherons water challenges

Top-tier technologies have been selected to tackle the water challenges of the Absheron Peninsula, Barak Graber, Director of International Relations at Israel"s national water company Mekorot, said during a panel discussion at the 2nd International Water Management Exhibition and Conference, Baku Water Week.

According to Report, he explained that as part of the planned desalination project on the Absheron Peninsula, the Ministry of Economy and the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan (ADSEA) conducted a competitive tender process to identify the most optimal technological solution, ensuring participation from the world"s leading desalination providers.

Graber emphasized the importance of clearly defining the roles of the public and private sectors in executing effective water projects:

"The government establishes the framework, regulations, and objectives, while the private sector implements advanced technologies and solutions to achieve these goals. This approach maximizes benefits for both the state and private entities and represents a key model for success in water resource management and project implementation."
