Ferry route between Ukraine, Georgia to be restored as part of Middle Corridor development

Strategic transport and energy projects such as the Middle Corridor and the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor are turning the seas into a route for sustainable integration of regions, Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev said at the conference in Baku "Black Sea-Caspian Logistics Forum 2025: Corridors, Cargo, Infrastructure," Report informs.

"These are powerful tools for economic sustainability in the face of aggression. These initiatives have already surpassed Russian routes in terms of cost and delivery time. Today, the Black and Caspian Seas have become the border between an aggressive control zone and a coalition of countries turning these waters into channels for development, integration and security. Optimization of logistics routes is a fundamentally important task that will significantly simplify bilateral trade and increase transit volumes," the ambassador noted.

According to him, measures are being taken in this direction to restore the ferry route between Ukraine and Georgia as part of the sea-rail connection of Ukraine with the states of the South Caucasus and Central Asia within the development of the Middle Corridor and the GUAM corridor.
