Envoy: Azerbaijan - active member of SCO family

Azerbaijan not only develops bilateral relations with China but also seeks to expand ties with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and is an active member of this family, Report informs, quoting Ambassador Akram Zeynalli.

Zeynalli was speaking at the ceremony of sending a 100-container freight train along the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Demonstration Zone for Local Economic and Trade Cooperation in Qingdao, China’s Shandong province, to Azerbaijan.

A freight train carrying car tires, air conditioners, and other products will be delivered to the Azerbaijani port of Alat and from there by rail to Baku.

Cargoes from Baku will be distributed to Turkey, Georgia, Romania, Italy, and other countries.
