Deputy Minister: Transformation of traditional cities into 'smart cities' is priority

"Great work is being done in Azerbaijan in the field of digital development. Today, the transformation of traditional cities into 'smart cities' is one of our priorities," Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov said at the 6th meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania taking place in Baku, Report informs.
In addition, Mammadov noted that currently, more than 81% of Azerbaijan's population has Internet access, and over 6 million subscribers in the country are provided with broadband Internet.
