Azerbaijan, Central Asian countries mull co-op with Pakistan on maritime transport

The ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries in Islamabad have discussed the development of maritime transport and port logistics with Pakistan's Minister of Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Report informs referring to Turkmen officials.

The parties discussed the development of cooperation in maritime transport and port logistics on both a bilateral and multilateral basis.

Participants emphasized that expanding cooperation in this area plays a key role in strengthening regional connectivity and sustainable economic growth.

Following the talks, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening their partnership and agreed to regular contacts to discuss ways to expand cooperation in transit and maritime transport between the countries of the region.
