Azerbaijan actively engaged in int'l public procurement audit agenda

The Russian Accounts Chamber expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in the areas of public procurement audit, digitalization, and corruption risk management.
According to Report, auditor of the Accounts Chamber of Russia and head of the Secretariat of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Working Group on Public Procurement Audit (WGPPA), Svetlana Orlova, told journalists during the group's annual meeting in Baku.
She noted that both Russia and Azerbaijan have implemented significant projects in public procurement auditing in recent years, and that exchanging experiences is beneficial for both sides: "We are sharing with our Azerbaijani colleagues the work we have done in digitalization, the application of artificial intelligence, and the assessment of corruption risks. In the second part of the event, we will continue exchanging experiences in these areas."
Orlova emphasized that Azerbaijan's Accounts Chamber has actively joined the international audit agenda and that reforms in public procurement auditing are being closely followed by international partners.
"In recent years, we have cooperated with 29 countries in the fight against corruption and in public procurement auditing. Azerbaijan is one of the active participants in this international cooperation, and we believe that experience exchange will expand further in the future," she added.
