Anar Guliyev: WUF13 highlighting importance of urban planning issues at global level

The scale and diversity of the program for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku demonstrated the growing global importance of urban development issues, Anar Guliyev, chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture and National Coordinator of WUF13, said at the closing ceremony of the forum, Report informs.
According to him, over 400 events were held during the forum, including dialogues, special sessions, roundtables, assemblies, and partner-organized events: "The main sessions of the forum featured 400 speakers from 125 countries. The true strength of the forum lies in its inclusiveness. WUF brings together diverse groups of society as equal partners in shaping the future of cities and communities."
