About 70% of production is intended for export, which will allow the country to receive additional income of up to $160 million per year.

The urea plant is currently the largest project in the country's non-oil sector, with a total cost of about 800 million euros. On May 25, 2019, the first mass supply of Azerbaijani urea from the Urea Plant began. It is loaded on trucks at the Urea Plant and sent to Hovsan International Port for loading on ships.
